Feeling Gravity’s Pull:

  • is a four-piece independent rock band hailing from Merced, CA; right smack dab in the middle of the state’s Central Valley.
  • is a song by the popular rock band REM.
  • uses solid-state amplification equipment because it’s cheap and can be coaxed to sound good.
    Well, good enough.
  • invented the game of Bocce Beer, where unopened cans of Coors Light take the place of the standard balls.
  • has a frontman whose guitar has the unfortunate tendency of uncoupling, a guitarist who is at least five years older than the next-oldest member, a bassist who hides beer and sandwiches in his friends’ houses for later consumption, and a drummer who’s too young to be in bars (UPDATE: No longer true as of November 2012).
  • is influenced by bands like The Who and Neil Young and Joy Division and Mission of Burma and an assorted, eclectic pantheon of bands (depending on the member) but ends up sounding kinda like Superchunk.
  • can’t stop, won’t stop, but so help me if you don’t shut up I will turn this car around and no more Disneyland for you, young man.
  • rocks.
